With great excitement I am delighted to serve as the executive director of the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State University. I am optimistic about the prospects to enhance the museum’s collections, exhibitions, and programs; to energize awareness and participation at local, statewide and national levels; and to secure the financial stability and sustainability of the museum. And, the opportunity to build connections with the community and the university in service to the mission of the museum is a wonderful challenge.

I am a fifth generation Texan who grew up in the Panhandle. I bring 22 years of experience as executive director of The Grace Museum in Abilene, Texas; the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine: and the National Museum of Wildlife Art, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I was also a tenured full professor of art history at Texas State University. My experience in both the museum and the university environments has been challenging and fulfilling. I have had to think creatively about effectiveness and efficiency. I have had to be productive, action oriented and solution based to set goals and accomplish strategic objectives, even in the midst of economic challenges, leadership shifts, and budgetary constraints. I look forward to working with the professional museum staff, volunteers, and the dedicated advisory board. I invite everyone in the community and university to become actively involved in the Wichita Falls Art Museum.
